Our first destination is the bustling town of Northampton.The town is world famous for its boot and shoe industry, and although production levels are not what they used to be, the town still boasts many high-end manufacturers, while the Northampton Museum and Art Gallery on Guildhall Road boasts the biggest shoe collection in the world. Also found here is, 78 Derngate, the only house in England designed by Charles Rennie Mackintosh, which attracts visitors from around the globe. After spending time here we continue to the exciting new shopping venue of Rushden Lakes.
